Who this policy is for

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile app Trace ABC: Phonics & Write, published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by 北京艺初网络科技有限公司, the developer and legal entity named on the app's store listing. This policy covers this app only.

The app is published under localized titles in some countries — Trace ABC: Phonics & Writing (en-GB), Trace ABC: Phonics Niños (es), Trace ABC: Fonética Kids (pt-BR), Trace ABC: Phonics Enfants (fr), Trace ABC: Phonics Kinder (de), and equivalents in Chinese, Japanese and Korean. All refer to the same app and the same developer, and are covered by this policy.

Summary

Trace ABC does not collect personal information from you or your child. In plain terms:

• No ads and no advertising SDKs of any kind.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No account, no sign-in, no email address required or accepted.
• No advertising ID, device ID, or location is read or transmitted.
• No audio is recorded. The microphone is never used.
• Your child's progress stays on the device. There is no cloud account and no server-side profile.
• The only data that ever leaves the device is an optional, parent-initiated mistake report — described in section 2 below.

1. Information stored on the device

To let your child pick up where they left off, the app saves the following in its own private storage area on your device:

• Learning progress — which letters have been traced or practiced, stars earned, and journey-map position.
• App settings — sound volume, screen-time limit, and similar preferences you set behind the parental gate.

This information never leaves the device, is not backed up to our servers, and is not accessible to us. It contains no name, age, photo, contact details, or any other information that could identify a child. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

2. The optional “Report a mistake” form

Each letter screen has a small link that lets an adult tell us about a content error (for example, a wrong letter sound or an incorrect stroke order). Using it is entirely optional, and nothing is sent unless you choose to submit the form.

If you do submit it, we receive only:

• the letter concerned and which field you are correcting;
• the value currently shown in the app;
• your suggested correction and an optional free-text note;
• the app's identifier (com.zach.englishAbcKids) so we know which app the report came from.

No device identifier, no advertising ID, no IP-based profile, no account and no contact details are attached to the report. We use it for one purpose only: to correct the app's teaching content. Because the note field is free text, please do not type personal information into it.

Reports are received by a server operated by the developer at lang1000.100for1.com. They are not sold, shared, or used for advertising.

3. Microphone

Trace ABC does not record audio and does not use the microphone. On iOS you may see a microphone permission description in the app's system information: it is present only because a shared audio-playback library declares it. The app never requests microphone access and never captures sound.

4. Audio and speech

Letter names, letter sounds and example words are played from pre-recorded audio files bundled inside the app. If a recording is unavailable on your device, the app falls back to your device's own built-in text-to-speech voice, which is provided by the operating system (Apple or Google) and processes only the letter or word being read aloud. Nothing you or your child says is involved.

5. Third parties

Trace ABC embeds no advertising, analytics, attribution, social, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not share any information with third parties for advertising or marketing, and we do not sell personal information — we have none to sell.

Two parties are unavoidably involved and act under their own privacy policies:

• Apple and Google — as the app stores that distribute the app and process any purchase. We never receive your payment details.
• The device's built-in text-to-speech engine, as described in section 4.

6. Children's privacy

Trace ABC is designed for children aged approximately 2–6 and their parents, and participates in the Google Play Families program. It is built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families Policy, Apple's Kids Category requirements, and the GDPR's provisions on children's data.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — in fact, we collect none from any user.
• There is no behavioral advertising, and no ads at all.
• There is no social feature, no chat, no user-generated content shared between users, and no in-app browsing.
• Settings, external links and any purchase flow sit behind a parental gate.

Because we collect no personal information from children, there is nothing for a parent to review or delete on our side. If you believe a child has somehow sent us information through the mistake-report form, contact us through the contact form and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data retention, deletion and your rights

Progress and settings live only on your device: uninstalling the app erases them completely, and no copy remains with us.

We hold no account, no profile and no personal data about you, so there is nothing to export or erase on our servers. Mistake reports (which contain no personal data) are kept only until the content issue is fixed. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; you are welcome to exercise them through the contact form.

8. Security and changes to this policy

Data submitted through the mistake-report form is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We use reasonable technical measures to protect the limited information we hold.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and the current version is always available at this URL.
